You will discover a rich world of tradition and know-how: cooperage, glass-making, printing and the creation of art – giving you the full meaning of the words “town of art and history”!
You will be eating lunch at the heart of Cognac, in a gourmet restaurant, where you will sample a flavoursome, seasonal cuisine – both modern and creative.
After this gourmand break, you will experience an exceptional tour of Hennessy, the world’s foremost Cognac producer, founded in 1765.
You will discover the Hennessy saga and know-how, and go through the doors of “Paradis”, the cellar where some of their oldest eaux-de-vie are aged.
Finally, in a private lounge, in all ritual, pomp and circumstance, you will taste Hennessy’s flagship cognacs!
In an enchanting setting, with a garden that slopes down towards the Charente, the starred chef of this restaurant will greet you with dishes that will delight your taste-buds: scallop tartare, lukewarm Marennes Oléron oysters with fresh caviar, sole in beurre noisette, hare à la royale and a collection of ripened cheeses.
The second day will be dedicated to the Remy Martin universe.
Founded in 1724, the Remy Martin estate is a family business that has always kept close to heart the preservation and enrichment of their heritage.
You will discover the historic domain and cellars, and, during the tasting, the aromas of their Fine Champagne cognacs.
For you, this will be a unique opportunity to learn all the secrets of the birth of eaux-de-vie, to smell the characteristic perfume of excellent cognac, and to understand the poetry of the phrase “the angel’s share”, referring to the alchemy of the volatile substances in the amber liquid.
You will spend a refined lunch at the Club, composed by chef Phillippe Saint Romas, from the Association of Master Chefs of France, according to your tastes.
